A Little History

Before you read on, there is something I must tell you. I am a Mac-Addict. Yes, it's true. I absolutely love my mac! To all of you out  there who do not own one, there is only one thing you deserve to hear from me. SHAME ON YOU!!

Okay, now on to business.
I came across this image on Google and couldn't help but laugh at it. Then I decided to do some "research" on it.
(I used Wikipedia.;-))
Here it is. (drum roll please..)

The first Macbook. Released in Sept. 1989.

Here's what you get:
Memory - 1MB (however you could expand this to a whopping 5MB!)
Hard Drive - none (But you could drop the big bucks for an adapter to put 20 MB on it.)
Screen Resolution - 640x400
Weight - 15.8 lbs (not bad huh. :-))
Internet - Forget it.
USB ports - (They didn't come around until 96')
It also comes with a Floppy Disk drive. "What's that" you say? Ask your parents.

You get all of this for only (are you ready?)
                                                                 $6,500

Now that I've made you laugh, lets move ahead 20 years.

In May 2009 Apple released the new and improved MacBook.

Here's what you get:

Hard Drive - 160GB

7hr. battery
2 USB ports

Built-In Wi-Fi

Cost? $1,000. Not bad for a perfect computer huh?
